- Quantum Field Theory I (QFT-I) (30 teaching hours).
Dirac equation,
free-field quantization, Feynman rules, QED, 1-loop renormalization.

- Quantum Field Theory II (QFT-II) (40 hours).
Non-abelian theories,
renormalization group, Ward identities, supersymmetry,
non-perturbative techniques.

- General Relativity (GR) (30 hours). Riemmanian geometry,
Einstein equations, introduction to supergravity,
special solutions (black-holes, dS, AdS),
gravitational waves, introduction to cosmology.

- Particle Phenomenology (PP) (40 hours). The Standard Model,
the MSSM and variations, present status and expectations from LHC.
Beyond the Standard Model.
Instructors : K. Tamvakis (SM,MSSM), G. Lazarides (Beyond SM), P. Sphicas (LHC)
- Strings I (STR-I) (30 hours). The bosonic string theory.
The open and
closed (oriented and unoriented) string spectrum, conformal field theory,
Polyakov path integral, scattering amplitudes, toroidal compactification,
T-duality, D-branes and orientifolds.

- Strings II (STR-II) (40 hours). The superstring theory.
Type-I, II and heterotic strings, superstring interactions, D-branes,
superstring phenomenology.
