The Bodosakis foundation despite its promises, went back on its decision and opened its postdoctoral fellowships in other disciplines.
Exceptional Postdoctoral fellowship for September 2010
The Crete Center of Theoretical Physics is seeking candidates for an unexpected postdoctoral fellowship starting September 1, 2010.
There is no citizenship requirement. Applicants should
be holding a PhD degree in the area of theoretical high energy physics and cosmology.
The fellowship is for a period of
two years.
A detailed cv, list of publications and a research statement should be sent by email to
any faculty member of the Center
Three letters of reference from senior scientists should be also sent to the email address above.
The deadline for applications is July 30, 2010.
Bodosakis' postdoctoral fellowships, 2010
The Bodosakis foundation will offer 1-2 fellowships for postdoctoral researchers who will join the center, starting September 2011.
To be considered for such fellowships applicants must be Greek Citizens that have obtained their PhD in an
institution outside of Greece, in the area of theoretical high energy physics and cosmology
and be at most 30 years old.
A detailed cv, list of publications and a research statement should be sent by email to
Elias Kiritsis, kiritsis AT physics dot uoc dot gr

The deadline for applications is July 30, 2010.
Marie Curie Postdoctoral fellowships, 2010
The Crete Center of Theoretical Physics is seeking applications for nominations for Marie Curie Individual
Fellowships. No citizenship requirements are expected under the 7th framework program. Applicants should
be holding a PhD degree in the area of theoretical high-energy physics and cosmology and have already some postdoctoral
experience, especially if they originate in "third countries". The fellowships are for a period of
two years with the possibility of an extra year in an
institution in the home country of the applicant (if in the EU). More information can be found for
Intraeuropean fellowships (for candidates from member and associated
states as well as candidates from third countries having long stays in Europe and for
Incoming fellowships (for nationals of third countries)
Note that Intraeuropean fellowships are typically meant for young scientists with some postdoctoral experience. Incoming fellowships are meant for scientists from third countries that will bring non-trivial expertise to the host group. They should therefore be experienced scientists or postdoctoral researchers with a provable quality and strong expertise in a given subject.
A detailed cv, list of publications and a research statement should be sent by email to
any faculty member of the Center
Three letters of reference from senior scientists should be also sent to the email address above.
The deadline for applications to the Center is June 30, 2010. The deadline for applications to the EU is 17 August 2010
Successful applicants should be able to start their fellowship between April and September 2011.
