Regional Potential project: CreteHEPCosmo

The Center is supported by an FP7-REGPOT-2008-1 grant CreteHEPCosmo with number 228644, from mid-2009 till mid-2012. Its purpose is to provide a boost to the competitiveness of the Center and establish links and research contacts with several prominent European institutions. 

The main thrust of this program is to

*  Improve the research team by hiring young researchers, and improve the infrastructure of the Center

So far the following researchers have been hired on this grant

A computational cluster was also set up to perform the numerical calculations of the Center Researchers.



*   Fund incoming and outgoing visits that will improve the Center's research potential

*  Fund the organization of workshops and conferences. A cosmology workshop took place in spring 2010, a conference took place in September 2010, and a workshop took place in July 2012.

*  Provide guidance and evaluation from an  Advisory Committee of senior scientists in the field.

The committee visited the Center in November 2009, and after interacting with the Center members established an initial report.
